Each sequin has been attached by hand in Thailand by a group of elderly ladies. The ladies can no longer work and find it difficult to make ends meet. The sequins can be attached by them in the comfort of their own homes and bring them much needed income.
This face mask is designed to be worn for long periods of time with options to stop the wearer feeling hot, uncomfortable or struggling to breath.
Made from a cotton Lycra blend, without any seams, this facemask will snugly and comfortably fit your face without putting pressure on your ears.
The front filter section is made from a mesh which is backed with a tighter weave mesh. These two layers combine to act as a barrier to airborne germs and viruses. This allows you to inhale and exhale easily without becoming hot or uncomfortable, something that is common with totally sealed masks. Behind these is a compartment for the removable filter, which further filters out germs and viruses, and is the third line protection. The final line of protection, is yet another layer of cloth, this time a soft sponge type material, designed to be comfortable against your face, while letting you breathe through the filter. The sequins on the front are a purely decorative detail.
This face mask also comes with a nose bridge which can be attached to the face mask for a better fit. If you wear glasses you will notice a reduction in your glasses fogging.
This face mask is machine washable and we recommend washing every 2-3 days depending on usage.
